I'm passionate about make-up as an art form; how it can
transform you, not only on the outside, but how that then
makes you feel on the inside, bringing out a real glow and
confidence...and that is simply why I LOVE what I do.
I enjoyed experimenting with make-up from an early age and found I had a natural creative flair. Friends always asked me to help with their make-up when we were going out and I loved doing it. After a bad bridal make-up trial experience myself (I felt I looked like a drag queen!), I decided to get professional training and in 2000, became a fully qualified make-up artist, completing an in-depth professional make-up artistry course specialising in film, television, commercial and photographic make-up.
Loving all things wedding, I decided to specialise in wedding make-up and have had the pleasure of making over hundreds of brides, bridesmaids, mums of the bride/groom since. I was elated to win Best Make-up Artist at the Essex Wedding Awards in November 2015, for the second year in a row and previously was nominated by my brides (thank you!) for The Wedding Industry Awards 2015 and was East of England Regional Finalist for Best Make-up Artist.
I keep my skills and product knowledge up-to-date by attending MAC Pro Masterclasses and recently took part in their bridal masterclass in London.
I strongly believe that a flawless looking complexion is fundamental to fabulous looking make-up and have spent much time researching and trialling foundations and products to achieve this - beautiful skin, without looking or feeling caked on.
I'm a perfectionist and love bringing out the beauty in each individual and creating a look which best suits them and the occasion, from the most natural look to the dramatic. I believe that you should have a fun, relaxed time getting ready for your wedding and it's said by my brides that I help create that environment.
On a personal level, I'm married with two gorgeous (of course, I'm biased!) girls who are four and seven years old.
My loves: laughing (be warned, I have a very dry sense of humour!), sunshine, seafood, silver jewellery, trashy documentaries, turquoise, cuddles with my girls, our decking, mascara, Verve champagne, to do lists, my new coral lipstick, singing, Amaretto anything, pedicures and skinny lattes.
Originally from London, I've now moved to Sydney and am currently having some time off to settle in.
Stay Gorgeous! Love
